Smartphone donation & Internet subscription

Thanks to your donation, a young woman can continue to learn, access information, get health advice and stay connected to the outside world.

Don SmartPhone & Abonnement Internet

One simple donation, many opportunities

Today in Afghanistan, many girls and young women live in extreme isolation, deprived of normal schooling, many training opportunities and with very little contact with the outside world.

Faced with this reality, Hope for Afghan Women wishes to open a small window to the world for some of them by offering them a smartphone with prepaid internet access.

For us in Switzerland, a telephone has become such a common object that we hardly think about it anymore.

But for a young girl who spends much of her day isolated at home in Kabul, this small device can become :

a school,
a library,
a classroom,
a means of communication,
a source of information,
and above all, a window open to the world.

Thanks to this connection, she will be able to, among other things:

  • take free online courses and training ;
  • learn or improve a language ;
  • continue learning despite an interruption in schooling ;
  • access health information and advice ;
  • communicate and exchange with other young people ;
  • discover, learn and develop new skills ;
  • and, quite simply, feel less isolated and continue to be part of the world.

Of course, a phone alone cannot erase the difficulties, suffering or isolation that these young women face.

But it can give them a tool, create a link, maintain access to knowledge, and allow them to continue to look towards the future.

Do you have an old smartphone or tablet ? Don't throw it away, give it a second life !

Keep it for us ! We'll gladly take them back.

Even if it's not the newest model, your old device can still be of immense value to a young woman in Afghanistan.

After its functionality has been verified, it can be given to a beneficiary of our program and become for her a true tool for learning, communication and opening up to the world.

A phone left forgotten in a drawer in Switzerland can become a window to the world for a young girl in Kabul.

How can you help us ?

You can finance the purchase of a smartphone and its internet access, or donate a smartphone or tablet that you no longer use.

To arrange for the delivery or shipment of a device, please contact us directly..

Together, let us continue to build connections, pass on knowledge, and give future prospects to young Afghan women.

Stay in Kabul of the founder Rohina SAMIM

September-October 2025

I have just returned from a stay of more than two months in Afghanistan, a country that I have known for over twenty years and which nevertheless surprises and upsets me every time I return.

This year, I found women more anxious, tenser, quieter. Their fatigue is deep, almost existential. Faced with this heavy climate, I had to adapt my projects: reduce my trips to the reception center, receive more women at home, prioritize small circles rather than large gatherings. This is not the first time that I have had to reinvent myself to continue my mission, and it may be the main element that I learned during these twenty years: the ability to continue despite everything, to move forward in the shadows, to act without making noise, but always pursuing the goals I set.

And despite this heavy atmosphere, despite the risks involved, we have accomplished so much:
•
Each month of the year 2025, 75 families – of widowed women or living with a disabled husband – were able to receive food aid that allowed them to feed themselves.
• Two mobile midwives were able to inform 420 young women about the risks of too close pregnancies and the vital importance of an interval of 12 to 18 months between each birth.
• We distributed contraceptives available in Kabul: pills, injections, intrauterine devices,... ; so many simple tools that change lives.
• And 35 young girls were able to continue their English and computer classes, an open door to a future that I hope will be brighter.

Through these actions, hundreds of women have been able to benefit from better maternity care and regain some semblance of control over their lives.

I was also able to see on the ground the lasting impact of our past projects. The carts we have distributed to sell fruits, vegetables or small dishes continue to ensure regular income for their owners. Sewing and embroidery machines still circulate in the streets of Kabul, regularly providing families with a modest but stable income.

Seeing these women work, hold on, is undoubtedly what touches me the most. Even with small budgets, we manage to break circles of dependency and offer real pathways to autonomy. Thanks to them, their families have regained a certain food security. Thanks to them, dignity survives.

I measure the strength of these women every day, but also the strength of those who support us. Without you, none of this would have been possible.

We will continue to move forward, fight, protect, support. As long as you are by our side, Afghan women will never be completely alone.

Thank you for continuing to walk with us. Thank you, above all, for continuing to believe in them.

Rescue of 3 little girls destined to be sold...

Dear Donors, Donators,

We thank you for your generous contribution to the organization Hope for Afghan Women, a cause that is close to our hearts. Your interest in our organization goes far beyond.

With your continued support, collective efforts and precious gifts, we have worked hard to save the lives of these little Afghan girls.

Thanks to you, we have achieved our goal of preventing them from being sold to older men by their own parents to support their very poor families.

Us Hope for Afghan Women cannot thank you enough for your gesture of kindness and want to make sure that you know how much you have made a difference for our cause.

Today, these girls live in peace and are happy with their families, thanks to your great generosity and donations.

For the holidays, we want to offer you this as a gift.

These three little girls you see in the photos had a very difficult childhood and they almost were sold by their own parents. They did not have the chance to enjoy a normal childhood like going to school or simply having fun.

The one. on the left is Samira. She is 8 years old and she is the fourth daughter of an extremely poor family who lives in great precariousness. His father is a very depressed person who has been using drugs for years.

Samira almost was sold because her mother could no longer provide for the family following the birth of her 2 other children. Before joining our program, Samira’s mother could no longer feed all her children, so she was forced to haggle over her daughter.

Our association was able to save Samira from the sale and has been supporting her family for several years. We integrated his mother into our financial autonomy program in 2023. Today, she can finally feed her children independently without needing our help, and all this can make a crucial difference in the lives of children.

The little girl in the middle of the photo is called Zarine, she is 9 years old and she is the fifth. daughter of an extremely poor family. She was almost married to an older man 23 years her senior.

Today, Zarine lives happily with her family thanks to your precious donations. The association also helps its brothers and sisters by contributing to food and rent costs.

Thanks to you, Zarine’s family no longer has to worry about how to pay the household expenses.

This adorable little 11-year-old girl in the last photo also almost was forcibly married to a man 19 years older than her. Her family had even already received the marriage dowry. The association succeeded in convincing the family to repay the dowry, and continues to support the whole family with food aid and rent.

Your generosity has strongly impacted and transformed the lives of these little girls.

Thank you again for the support you have given to all these children; you have brought them back to smile, and they can finally live a happy childhood in peace!

Your support is invaluable for us; thank you very much again!
