Our achievements in Afghanistan
Hope For Afghan Women has been active on the ground in Afghanistan since the beginning of 2020
2025
2025 allowed to consolidate the partnership with the GRSSGO. We have been able to provide more and more essential gynecological care to women in need in Kabul and conduct awareness activities related to successive pregnancies.
On November 7, 2025, the association also had the chance to participate in a sustainable, ethical and solidarity fashion show in Lausanne. 120 models and 45 artists have joined forces against waste and textile pollution, in a concrete approach for the good of all.
2024
In 2024, in addition to the support still provided to women and girls in need in Kabul, the association has also taken care of several professionally active women who found themselves threatened, and obtained humanitarian Swiss visas for them.
Thanks to the help obtained from GRSSGO, the association was able to add a new field to its activities related to gynecological and obstetric care. Midwives now regularly intervene as part of our reception center.
2023
2023 allowed the association to secure and sustain its activities on the ground, in Kabul, in the areas of women’s empowerment, the promotion of schooling and access to healthcare.
In parallel, the association has also set up a structure in Switzerland, thus allowing a better reception of migrant people and the development of sales outlets to promote handicrafts made by our beneficiaries, thus providing them with an income.
Our collaboration with Soraya Creation Mode took us to Vancouver, and allowed us to participate in a fashion show where the Afghan coats made by our beneficiaries could be presented.
2022
2022 is an important year for the association: after 3 years of activity we can say that we have proven ourselves and this year 30 families were able to leave the aid program because they became autonomous!
This represents more than 150 people who are now safe from precariousness. We are very proud of it.
2021
2021, the return of the Taliban to power and a very harsh winter have greatly complicated our task. However, our great knowledge of the field has allowed us to continue doing a very good job and helping many families with food and housing.
2020
2020 was a difficult year : the coronavirus pandemic led to the release of several hundred women who were unjustly detained in Afghan prisons. The start of our activities was therefore very fast and chaotic. We have nevertheless succeeded in helping many families and providing training on how to manage the pandemic.
